Bio
Moritz Ganzoni was born in 1960 in Glarus/Switzerland and lives and works in Hefenhofen and Eschlikon/Switzerland. In 1984 he got to know the Ashanti casting technique through a publication by Max Fröhlich. After first autodidactic attempts to apply this technique, he met Max Fröhlich personally and years of cooperation and friendship followed. Since then, he has remained faithful to the Ashanti technique and has continued to develop his knowledge. In addition to his artisan work, he currently works full-time in the machine industry in a management position.Statement
Inspired by nature, I seek simple powerful forms, which shall contain the quality of lucky charms and amulets. All works are unique and were made in the lost wax casting process in the old artisan tradition of wax with the help of refractory clay, horse manure and charcoal. My works are made exclusively in the Ashanti technique just by hand and using as few technical aids as possible.News!
