The mountain as a jewellery object and wall hanging has occupied Fritz Maierhofer since 2013.
This publication shows a cross-section of the fascinating group of works in formed iron and industrial enamel; the very first pieces were created from watercolours on paper.
Once again - as so often in his diverse oeuvre since the 1970s - Fritz Maierhofer has explored new territory.
In his essay Foldings, Bernd Moser, a geologist with an affinity for jewellery who works at the Joanneum in Graz , relates historical and geomorphological considerations on the subject of mountains to the works of Fritz Maierhofer .
