After Pforzheim’s Jewellery Museum reponend after the lockdown due to corona, the current special exhibition »A Newly Ordered World – Treasures from the Napoleonic Era« can be seen until Sunday, 14 June. As no guided are tours possible for the time being, curator Martina Eberspächer and museum director Cornelie Holzach take visitors on a virtual tour of the exhibition. Whether in preparation for a visit to the museum, for a more in-depth look afterwards, or just like that - in about twenty minutes, the two experts will take the viewer to the highlights of the show alternatingly.

Napoleon Bonaparte changed the political map of Europe profoundly in a very short time. The exhibition shows how Napoleon presented himself and, alongside documents, as well as utilitarian and luxury items, is giving an impression of his epoch.

The film is made by Daniela Samsony and accompanied by excerpts from a live recording of the Beethoven Symphony No. 3 »Eroica« by the South-West German Chamber Orchestra Pforzheim under the direction of Sebastian Tewinkel. Speakers are the actors Jörg Bruckschen and Joanne Gläsel.
