Intro
Art + Jewelry: Intersecting Spaces, Athens Jewelry Week's central exhibition hosted by the Benaki Museum, ended on the 27th of May with this edition's Awards Ceremony.
AJW aims through collective action, to promote Contemporary Greek Jewelry both in Greece and abroad, enhancing awareness and exchange of views, while establishing a dialogue between national and international designer/makers or entities active in the contemporary jewelry field.

We are actively trying to support and encourage talented jewelry creators through the following actions and connections/collaborations:

Artemis Valsamaki: AJW 2018 award.
AJW award - The Anticlastics team reward every year one of the individual artists/participants with the AJW Award. His/her work should show originality, technical quality and conceptual richness. The winner is invited to participate for free, in the following AJW edition.

Angelos Konstantakatos: MATERIAL QUESTS award @AJW 2018.
MATERIAL QUESTS award - Benaki Museum Shop – Material Quests is a series of exhibitions aiming to highlight unique works in the fields of the applied arts and design that are of exceptional aesthetics, superb craftsmanship and particular artistic inspiration. The prize is given to the artist, whose work better represents these qualities. He/She is given the opportunity to exhibit his/her work at the Benaki Museum Shop.

Elli Xippa: ALCHIMIA award @AJW 2018, AUTOR award @AJW 2018, PUBLIC award @AJW2018.
ALCHIMIA award –  Alchimia School of Contemporary Jewellery celebrates during AJW the “Alchimia Award”, a tribute to the new faces in the world of contemporary jewellery. This award, consisting of a two-week Intensive Course at Alchimia School in Florence, is given to one of the promising artists that participate in Art + Jewelry : Intersecting Spaces exhibition.
AUTOR award – Autor International Contemporary Jewelry Fair rewards one of the artists participating in the central exhibition of AJW, Art + Jewelry: Intersecting Spaces 2018, with a free participation at AUTOR fair 2019 and with media support for one year on the AUTOR digital media platform.
AJW PUBLIC award –the Anticlastics team invites the public to vote for their favourite artist/participant of Art + Jewelry: Intersecting Spaces 2018. The winner is invited to participate for free, in the following AJW edition.

Maria Ignacia Walker: PLATINA award @AJW 2018.
PLATINA award - Gallery Platina will reward one of the individual artists or a group with the PLATINA Exhibition Award. We are looking for multi-layered work with an intention to extend the concept of jewellery, what it is and can do. The winner will be invited to an exhibition at PLATINA Gallery in Stockholm.

Lodie Kardouss: JOYA award @AJW 2018.
JOYA award - Joya Art Jewellery and Objects will award an artist at AJW and invite him/her to create something memorable. We would like to propose to the winner an ephemeral presence – a performance or an act, related to the collection awarded and to the concept of the artist. The performance will take place during the event in Barcelona and through interaction, would illustrate to the public, art jewelry in movement and contact with the body.

Teodor Siminic: AJW award @Autor 2018.
Athens Jewelry Week Award, consisting of a free admission as a designer in Athens Jewelry Week, the newest event in contemporary jewelry.

Athens Jewelry Week and the Anticlastics team would like to express their gratitude to their partners and supporters that, through these awards, offer to the participant designers, unique growth opportunities and substantial brand positioning.
