Summary:
Thursday 29th at 20.00h: AUTOR Award & Grupo Duplex - Arte y Joya
AUTOR is one of the main contemporary jewellery events in South-Eastern Europe, taking place in Bucharest once a year. AUTOR promotes contemporary talents in the international jewellery design arena through an innovative event and a contemporary jewellery platform, which also featuresAUTOR Magazine, the contemporary magazine that connects jewellery to the human body.
Jewellery is who you are. You are what you make us see. Get connected to AUTOR!
Grupo Duplex and its magazine 'Arte y Joya' will award one of the artists taking part in the seventh edition of the Contemporary Jewellery Yearbook 2016-2017. An independent jury formed by recognised personalities from the art and jewellery world will select the winner. The award consists in a large communication campaign in the group magazines as well as an international promotion campaign.
Friday 30th at 20.00h: Enjoia't Award - Drassanes Reials of Barcelona
Making is a unique event within the sector, which has been rewarding the most outstanding proposals within the field of jewellery making for professionals as well as students. However, ENJOIA'T is not just a prize, and you will not find just jewellery. ENJOIA'T is much more than all this, since it is also a celebration of creativity, an indispensable meeting point for professionals in the sector, and a platform from which to show the public your creative project. In fact, ENJOAI'T rewards originality, technical quality, conceptual richness and transgression in the field of jewellery making so much as to question its own limits.
Saturday 1st. at 20.00h: Alchimia Student Award, Alliages Legacy Award 2016 & JOYA Award 2016
Alchimia School of Contemporary Jewellery celebrates during JOYA 2016 the sixth edition of the "Alchimia Award", a tribute to the new faces in the world of contemporary jewellery. This award, consisting of a two-week intensive course at Alchimia School in Florence, will be given to one of the promising young students from the Selected Schools that participate in this year's edition of JOYA.
ALLIAGES is a non-profit organisation with two goals: promoting contemporary jewellery & educating the public about this art. To do so, ALLIAGES has started a private collection with the aim to donate it to a museum. Since its creation until the moment it is donated, ALLIAGES will promote both the collection and the artists who are part of it, creating exhibitions or organising other events using both digital and physical networks. With the aim of promoting and rewarding jewellers, ALLIAGES has created its Award for Contemporary Jewellery, in collaboration with JOYA Barcelona Art Jewellery Fair
JOYA rewards In each edition an individual artist, selected by the jury due to having the highest score, to be part of the JOYA Barcelona Art Jewellery Fair. The award consists in being the face of JOYA in the next edition, as well as promoting both his or her art piece and art jewellery excellence in the media.
