Florian Weichsberger spends a lot of time thinking about the relationship between us and different objects. In addition to the practical function, there is often an emotional or spiritual connection to them.
Artist list
Florian Weichsberger
We fill an object with our wishes and hopes, it should bring us luck, the fulfillment of our dreams, or healing.
In his latest body of work, Weichsberger explores everyday objects. Things that are all around us and that we have become so used to that we no longer consciously notice them, but have become an integral part of our everyday lives. Florian Weichsberger uses their characteristics to incorporate symbols or messages; an old brush bears the peace sign and a former bookend gives us mental support. The former function is removed and a new one is added, honoring the object and giving it a new reason to be close to us or even on us.
Welcome to meet the artist at the opening: Friday October 24, 16h - 19h.
The exhibition runs until November 15.
