After Florence, Paris and Padova, the exhibition Preziosa Young, organized by the prestigious school Le Arti Orafe, finally approaches its last stop in Milano. The contest Preziosa Young, dedicated to worldwide jewellery artists, was born in 2008 inside Preziosa, an event dedicated to the world of contemporary jewellery.
Artist list
Yajie Hu, Koen Jacobs, Jongseok Lim
The three artists, Yajie Hu (China), Koen Jacobs (Netherlands) and Jongseok Lim (South Korea) have been selected among more than 100 candidates. Their creations, with strong inspiration from the animal and natural world, bring us back to the carefree nature of our childhood. Koen Jacobs gives life to wild animals by transforming them into wearable jewellery marionettes; Jongseok Lim, using the filigree, takes inspiration from the shiny shells, antennas and pearly wings of eccentric insects. Finally, the Chinese artist Yajie Hu, attracted by colours and textures, studies the details and combinations to transform them into wearable sculpture created with acrylic paint which allows her to be in direct contact with the colour.
