The exhibition Revealing by the Latvian artist Maija Vitola-Zitmane explores the inner and hidden course of a human life cycle. Drawing from her personal interpretations of emotions and memories that have shaped her own life, the artist invites visitors to reflect on the fragile moments that define our existence and the world we inhabit.

How often do we truly cherish those fleeting moments when everything is at peace? As time passes, page by page, we move forward without knowing what lies ahead or what the future holds for us.
This exhibition serves as the artist’s heartfelt confession, delving into the soul through symbolic imagery and raw emotion. At the same time, it leaves space for the viewer’s personal interpretations, recognizing that certain universal feelings connect us all: pain, sadness, joy, and, above all, love. Particularly love, the very first feeling we encounter at the start of life, is presented as the guiding force that shapes and sustains us. It forms the foundation for our understanding of life itself.
Maija Vitola-Zitmane (1988) is a Latvian jewellery artist. She earned her master’s degree in metal art from the Art Academy of Latvia in 2017. Currently, she is active in the field of jewellery art, developing her own jewellery brand. Her recent achievements include participation in the Cheongju International Craft Biennale in South Korea and MAD About Jewelry 2023 in New York. Notably, her work has been included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Arts and Design in New York. Growing up in a family of artists, Maija’s passion for art began in early childhood. She primarily works with natural materials such as bone, horn, and wood, often combining them with silver. Favoring traditional craftsmanship over industrial techniques, she emphasizes the tactile connection between her mind and hands.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 10 am - 6 pm. Saturday: 11 am - 4 pm.
Exhibition is supported by the Cultural Endowment of Estonia and Latvian State Culture Capital Foundation.
