Intro
The town of Legnica (Poland) will soon once again become a European centre of contemporary jewellery as the Grand Opening of the Legnica Jewellery Festival SILVER 2026 takes place on 8–9 May 2026. This highly anticipated event will launch one of Europe’s most important platforms for jewellery art, bringing together artists, designers, and audiences from around the world.
During the Grand Opening, visitors will experience a dynamic programme spread across multiple venues in the town centre, including exhibition openings, meetings, performances, and the ceremonial highlight—the awards gala of the 34th International Jewellery Competition EVERY BODY.

The Festival’s exhibition programme, on view from April to July 2026, presents a broad overview of contemporary jewellery practices, exploring the intersection of art, craft, and design.

At the heart of this year’s edition is the post-competition exhibition of the 34th International Jewellery Competition EVERY BODY. Selected from hundreds of submissions by artists from across the globe, the exhibition showcases diverse approaches to the relationship between jewellery and the body – interpreted through a wide range of materials, techniques, and conceptual frameworks.

Alongside the main competition exhibition, the Festival traditionally features a rich constellation of accompanying shows, including solo presentations, curated exhibitions, and international collaborations. Together, they create a multi-voiced narrative of contemporary jewellery, highlighting both emerging talents and established artists.

The Grand Opening programme is enriched by interdisciplinary events. These include exhibition openings, student performances, a concert, and the traditional symposium Boundaries of Global Art, which brings together artists, researchers, and designers to reflect on current directions in contemporary jewellery and its global context.
With free admission to all exhibitions and events, the Grand Opening of the Legnica Jewellery Festival SILVER 2026 offers a unique opportunity to engage with one of the most vibrant and experimental fields of contemporary jewellery art.
