Part-time lecturer position is open to the public. Applications are invited for an exciting 3-year part-time, 14 hours per week lectureship in Jewellery & Silversmithing in the School of Design at Edinburgh College of Art.
The successful applicant will proactively contribute to innovative curriculum development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and will be expected to work strategically with the current Programme Director to align J&S with major University initiatives, including new flexible curricula, the redesign of the ECA campus at Lauriston Place, and the emerging Edinburgh Futures Institute.
You will be well-connected in the academic field of Jewellery and Silversmithing, and will have knowledge and experience of at least one other relevant discipline, such as (but not restricted to) speculative design, service design, interaction design, digital jewellery, or wearable computing. You will be comfortable with, and able to support others in developing structured interdisciplinary teaching and learning opportunities, and you will be able to evidence a clear track record of teaching achievements in both studio and seminar environments.
The post-holder will be able to demonstrate experience of a range of jewellery and/or silversmithing related skills, or product design, or embedded computing skills, and is likely to have developed exploratory or challenging new areas of practice.

The post is part-time (14 hours per week) and fixed-term until 30 April 2022.
Salary: £40,792 - £48,677 per annum pro rata.
