We are seeking a motivated and talented practitioner to support planning and teaching activities for undergraduate and postgraduate Programmes in Jewellery & Silversmithing at Edinburgh College of Art.
The department enjoys an international reputation, and now forms part of the historic and research-intensive University of Edinburgh. The University’s strategy supports an interdisciplinary approach to learning and teaching, and you will be expected to contribute to the continuing development of the academically challenging and socially relevant student experience within the subject area.

The post-holder will have extensive experience of a range of silversmithing, jewellery and/or related craft/design skills, likely from a depth of practice work, and will be able to show evidence a clear track record of teaching achievements in a studio environment. 
We are seeking a dynamic and creative candidate who can effectively communicate core skills on a range of courses within Jewellery & Silversmithing. The appointee will be able to devise and lead relevant and critical design studios within existing courses that address contemporary making and design practices. In addition, the post-holder will have the opportunity to contribute to courses across a range of making traditions and contextual enquiry within design.

The post is part-time, 17.5 hours per week (0.5fte) and open-ended.
Salary: £33,199 to £39,609 per annum, pro rata.
