Intro
In this course, the process of making your own stamps, engraving chisels, and scribes will be demystified.
All of our online workshops are recorded and, with the purchase of a seat in the class, you have access to the recording(s) between workshop sessions as well as for 45 days after the workshop ends.
 Students will learn how to select a steel to best suit their needs and heat treat it appropriately to transform it into a working tool for their bench. This course is for anyone interested in adding some self-sufficiency to their practice and is curious about the tool making process.

About Nate Weiss:
Nate Weiss is a metalsmith residing in Johnstown. His metalworking education was self-directed starting in 2013, learning from craft schools such as Penland, Touchstone, and Peter’s Valley. Nate has worked as a professional metalsmith for several years, doing anything from architectural ironwork, to goldsmithing. This has allowed for him to cultivate a unique skillset, the influences of which can be seen in his work.
