Statement
Craft is the way I operate in the world. Making things is how I process the input, small questions, or big issues. Craft is my way of thinking, my way of taking care of myself and put questions about my life and the world in the spotlight. My body and mind cooperate at their best when I’m doing craft or exercise. I use a lot of different materials, though I’m educated in metal. During my thirty years of practice, I’ve come to accept my restless mind and that there is no point in trying to curb it. Different things that come in my way, it might be personal, political, scientific or cultural merge in my mind, sometimes for years. Suddenly they appear in a work and there are connections I couldn’t foresee. Usually, I don’t know how or why these connections are relevant when I start but it appears during the way. That’s the magic with the craft.Craft is micro resistance.
Craft has an agent.
Jewelry is a way to explore the body and connect it to the world.
