Until 24 April 2022 CODA presents Craving the essentials, an overview of the rich and varied oeuvre of visual artist Robert Smit. Although he acquired an international reputation as a jewellery maker, this exhibition mainly shows the scope of his oeuvre and his development as a visual artist. Craving the essentials' combines his photography, drawings and recent digital prints with jewellery from museum and private collections from the Netherlands and abroad. The works that CODA acquired from Robert Smit in the past decades are also part of the exhibition. In this video, CODA curator Rianne Groen talks to Robert Smit about his work and the exhibition in CODA.
