This video captures Anaïs Paulard's degree work, Mourning Fades, Memories Stay. At some point in our lives we all have to face a loss. Feeling that awful sulek-burcu-emptiness-2015. We are in mourning. One day we will feel better, mourning will be over. The memories and traces of a beloved person will stay in our mind forever. The charcoal is a symbol of material that used to be alive, that used to be something else. Now it’s dead, the dark traces are here to remind us a past life.
