Intro
The Amberif Design Award International Amber Jewellery Design Competition will have its verdict officially announced for the 23rd time. ADA is one of the most important design competitions, well known in the European community of artists with an unconventional approach to jewellery.

 
This year, ADA’s curator Barbara Schmidt of the Academy of Art and Design Munich choosed  the motto Kairos – suggesting to catch the chance at the right moment and not to let this moment pass unnoticed. The competition is open to designers, artists, creators and students of art schools. The entries will be judged by the international Jury and awarded works will be presented at the AMBERIF 2019 Fair .The goal and the objective of the Competition is to promote amber as a source of artistic expression. The competition's aim is the design of an original, artistic piece of jewellery with amber, inspired by the topic of the year.

The aim of the competition is the design of an original piece of jewellery with amber, inspired by the topic of the contest. The competitors are allowed to use all other materials provided that amber plays the essential role. The competition is open to all designers, artists, creators and craftspeople, designer and manufacturing teams are allowed.

Prizes to be awarded:
- The Mayor of the City of Gdańsk Prize: PLN 10,000.
- The Amber Prize of the International Amber Association: 1 kg of amber.
- The Silver Prize: 1 kg of silver.

Exhibition of the winning designs and other entries qualified by the Jury will be during AMBERIF 2019  the 26th International Fair of Amber, Jewellery and Gemstones between 20 and 23 March 2019
in Gdansk, Poland.
