Intro
We are pleased to invite you all to all the events of Legnica Jewellery Festival SILVER 2019, organized by The Gallery of Art in Legnica. The year's Festival programme comprises a number of collective and solo exhibitions of contemporary artistic jewellery and many accompanying events.
Legnica Jewellery Festival SILVER has been held for years under the patronage of Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The Festival is recognized as an international event perfectly combining elements of local tradition and history with contemporary and avant-garde trends in the art world. Thanks to its reputation, uniqueness and international character, it is an event attended by artists from all over the world and attractive for professionals as well as amateurs and enthusiasts of modern art, and especially design. As every year, in May 2019 Legnica will be visited by numerous guests from Poland and abroad: artists, gold- and silversmiths, designers, students and lecturers of art schools, art critics, representatives of art media, and above all fans of contemporary jewellery.

As usual, the main event of the Festival is the International Jewellery Competition, this year held under the title Silver to emphasize the 40th anniversary of the SILVER Festival. Every year jewellery designers from all over the world submit a few hundred works, out of which around 40 is qualified for the main, post-contest exhibition by an international jury.

The organizer specifically invites you to the culmination of the Festival on May 18 and 19, when the official openings of all exhibitions and most of the accompanying events take place.
