Intro
This National Association for Contemporary Jewelry was launched in May 2015 during Romanian Design Week, as a result of a 7-year project supporting, developing and structuring the emergent field of contemporary jewelry.

Assamblage is the main and most active platform in Romania dedicated to the craft and design of jewelry as an independent art form, contributing to the cultural context of the past few years to the increased activity in the field of jewelry in close connection to related fields such as architecture, product design, fashion and visual arts.

The Romanian cultural environment has the huge chance of rebuilding the creative fields in accordance with the international context. Contemporary jewelry is an emerging and fast-growing domain, powered by a bright community of artists. In three years since its founding, Assamblage Association has held a number of events and projects dedicated to Romanian jewelry designers, with visibility in the media and large audiences. Assamblage developed in 2016 in 2017 over 23 national and international projects and exhibitions, during London Fashion Week, Romanian Design Week, Milan Origin Passion & Beliefs, Joya Barcelona, BOZAR Brussels and Designblok – Prague Design and Fashion Week, involving over 50 Romanian and international contemporary jewelry designers.
