The Après Ski series shows Haldis Scheicher‘s passion for breathing new life into items of everyday use in her jewellery and objects. Alienated from their original purpose – as a whole or through selection of certain details – they are placed in new contexts.
Artist list
Roland Ferrigato, Felix Malnig, Haldis Scheicher
After a very successful presentation in the Tublà da Nives, www.tubladanives.it, in South Tyrol, 10/2022, the Après Ski project will stop at 2 stations simultaneously in January 2023 in Vienna.
On the opening evening, there will be a kind of ski swing from one place to another, and if you pass both stations unharmed, there will be a small après-ski gift.
The Après Ski series shows Haldis Scheicher‘s passion for breathing new life into items of everyday use in her jewellery and objects. Alienated from their original purpose – as a whole or through selection of certain details – they are placed in new contexts. Après Ski in this case also means a life afterwards for things that have well served their purpose in the overrun ski circus and found a new place in art. Roland Ferrigato brought a special accent to this work with his Photos. They are a perfect supplement tot he work of Haldis Scheicher. The Photo-Sessions took part in 2021.
Felix Malnig is a chronicler of loneliness. Even when there are people in his paintings, which is rarely the case, they convey a sense of forlornness and emptiness. They are landscapes painted with acrylic and spray paint on canvas, in which time seems to have stopped, the temperature dropped and almost all life seems to have disappeared.
Opening: 26th January 2023.
Gallery V&V until the 4th March: We-Fr 13–19, Sa 12–18 h.
T/abor until the 4th Febuary.: Mo-Fr 17–19, Sa 13–17 h.
