Three Jewelcaching containers are hidden at different locations throughout the city of Munich. Studio sieraad (Sint Lucas Antwerpen) students created their own version of 'geocaching' in celebration of Munich Jewellery Week.
Artist list
Suzan Artezian, Zaina Benhamou, Merel Bollaert, Floere Braet, Liana De Ridder, Sam Deroover, Selma Dooremalen, Antje Dupont, Lola Guldentops, Katja Jacobs, Friedl Janssens, Emma Leyers, Lars Michiels, Charlotte Orban, Marie Ratinckx, Jente Reijniers, Alix Spooren, Bolor-Erdene Ulziibayar, Lien Van Dyck, Xeno Van Petegem, Mirte Van Rossen, Senne Verschueren, Renée Leroy Viérin, Alyssa Wakim, Arthur Westhof-Jacobs
Using both online and offline tactics they have left breadcrumbs to create a path to the treasures. Once you find a jewel cache and open it, you will find a piece of silver jewellery inside. You can take it but only in exchange for one of your own of equal value.
To all jewellery hunters: you are invited to connect with the Studio sieraad students, take part in this dynamic game and swap your jewellery.
The coordinates will be communicated at the start of the event.
Jewelcaching takes place from the 8th until the 11th of March.
For registration and further information, please go to Studio sieraad’s Instagram or scan the QR code down below.
Make sure you bring a piece of jewellery of your own to replace the one to be found.
The Jewelcaching adventure has been created to interact with other jewellery makers and participants during Munich Jewellery Week. The three pieces of jewellery are made by the students of Sint Lucas Antwerpen. They tell three different stories that were developed during two inspiring workshops during this academic year, one by Kellie Riggs about ‘Communication’ and one by Kim Buck about ‘Press Forming’.
