The theme of this year's EXEMPLA special show, which takes place annually at the International Crafts Fair Munich under the theme of Craft & Design, is "Natural Stone".
The show will take place from February 28 to March 3, 2024 on over 640 square meters in Hall B1 of Messe München.
In addition to invited craftspeople and artists, the Gemstone and Jewelry Campus of Trier University of Applied Sciences will be presenting itself there as part of the Living Workshops.

The presentation will focus on the processing of gemstones - various stone processing machines will be on display, including stone saws, stone drills, engraving spindles for the production of flat and 3D engravings from gemstones and lapidary benches for the production of faceted gemstones.
During the days of the fair, these machines will be used by students and the experienced workshop manager of the Idar-Oberstein campus, Levan Jishkariani M.F.A., to produce handcrafted pieces. These live demonstrations provide an insight into the sparkling world of gemstone design and jewelry making.

In addition to the gemstone cutting workshop, the university will be showing some impressive exhibits from the "treasure chamber" of a gemstone trader from Idar-Oberstein as well as the rebellious and creative jewelry pieces of some of the campus' graduates.

On all days of the fair, visitors to the stand will have the opportunity to find out about the Bachelor's and Master's degree courses offered at the Gemstone and Jewellery Campus as well as the continuing education Master's degree course, which is aimed specifically at professionals with at least three years of professional experience and without a university degree.
