Intro
A Celebration of Wearable Art – The 10th Budapest Jewelry Week will be held at the end of October. From October 27 to November 9, the public can view more than 25 exhibitions by nearly 100 artists.
The 10th Budapest Jewelry Week will kick off on October 27. The event, which enjoys the support of the Studio of Young Designers Association (FISE), has had undeniable traditionbuilding power since its inception and continues to play a unique role in Hungary’s and the international cultural scene: in addition to providing a source of inspiration and professional opportunities for creators, it also serves as occasion to promote contemporary jewelry art to a wider audience.

This year, in keeping with the tradition of the early years, the focus will be on Hungarian jewelry designers. Across multiple locations in Budapest, visitors will encounter exhibitions, guided tours, and talks related to the art of jewelry.

A wide spectrum of jewelry—from studio jewelry to the borderline of fine art—will be on display in exciting solo and group exhibitions. Exhibitors include both recent graduates and established artists who have been part of Jewelry Week from the very beginning.

From October 27 to November 9, the public can view more than 25 exhibitions by nearly 100 artists. This year, the professional workshops and lectures will be organized by the participating jewelry designers, who are also planning guided tours and workshops on various topics, as well as performances, in order to engage audiences outside the profession, fostering connections between the artists and the public.

The festival will take place in the central districts of Buda and Pest, within easy walking distance of each other. Here are some recommended exhibitions and events by district:

PEST, DOWNTOWN
  • FISE Gallery
Contemporary Jewelry Week Budapest is an official program of FISE (Studio of Young Designers Association). In the gallery space of this over forty-year-old association, an exhibition of the founding members of Jewelry Week (Dóra Dés, Huber Kinga, Kecskés Orsolya, Kerékgyártó Szilvia, Stomfai Krisztina, Vékony Fanni)     will be on view.
Address: FISE Galéria, 1054 Budapest, Kálmán Imre u. 16.

  • Porcelain Palace
At this year’s Jewelry Week, the Herend Porcelain Manufactory will present its latest porcelain jewelry collection. Address: Porcelán Palota, 1051 Budapest, József nádor tér 10–11.

  • Foncière Palace
During Jewelry Week, the Foncière Budapest Studio, located in the Foncière Palace on Andrássy Avenue, will transform into an international meeting point. Alongside Hungarian participants, jewelry designers from Taiwan, France, and Italy will also present their work. The artists will give presentations in English.
Address: Foncière Budapest, 1061 Budapest, Andrássy u. 2.

  • Goldsmithing Heritage Collection
The collection showcasing centuries of Hungarian goldsmithing is exciting in itself, but during Jewelry Week, the program is complemented by a group jewelry exhibition and a lecture by goldsmith and MOME professor Zoltán Tóth.
Address: Ötvös Mesterségtörténeti Gyűjtemény, 1073 Budapest, Akácfa u. 59.

  • Orange Optika
