Romanian Jewelry Week 6.0

Over 270 designers from 40 countries will transform the capital into an international hub of creativity, innovation, and stories told through jewelry. The central venue is the National Library of Romania, with the program also extending to the Museum of Recent Art (MARe) and AlbAlb. The event opens on Wednesday, October 1, at 18:00 with the official vernissage, the awards ceremony, and an exclusive preview of the ROJW VI contemporary jewelry fair, which will fully take place on October 4–5.

The special guest of Romanian Jewelry Week 2025 is Sławomir Fijałkowski – Polish designer, curator, and professor, with over three decades of experience in jewelry art, design, and industry. Alongside him will exhibit the winners of the ROJW 2024 Awards: Yoonjung Choi (South Korea), Isabelle Azaïs (Belgium), and Antal Zilahi (Israel). The event also features prestigious international exhibitions such as SCHMUCKmuenchen and the Legnica Jewellery Festival SILVER, as well as innovative collectives including AdOC, Precious Collective, Assamblage Contemporary Jewelry School, Slovenian Jewelry Week, Global Creative Graduate Show, Institute Jeanne Toussaint (Belgium), The Sense of Beauty Gallery, and Unnecessary Jewelry.


Special Highlights: 

• Agora by David Sandu – Anniversary Exhibition: celebrating 20 years of creation and 15 years since the founding of Assamblage, opening on October 2 at the Museum of Recent Art.

• Next Generation by Banca Transilvania: a special scholarship section dedicated to young Romanian contemporary jewelry designers, with a focus on promotion and entrepreneurial education.

• AlbAlb – 7 Years: anniversary brunch and launch of the Monom collection on October 4, at 11:00.

1. National Library of Romania – Main Venue of ROJW
The central exhibition of ROJW opens here on October 1, 2025, alongside a special jewelry fair with over 270 designers and thousands of contemporary jewelry pieces on October 4–5, 2025.

The Romanian Jewelry Week 2025 Awards will be presented by a prestigious international jury: museum directors, curators, and specialists representing institutions such as the Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum (Athens), Museum of Arts and Design (New York), Handwerk & Design, Legnica Silver Festival, Inhorgenta, and more.

3. AlbAlb – 7-Year Anniversary & Monom x AlbAlb Launch

• Exclusive Romanian design shop showcasing contemporary jewelry and design pieces.

• October 4, 11:00 – Anniversary brunch & Monom x AlbAlb collection launch.

For over 15 years, Assamblage – founded by David Sandu – has turned Bucharest into fertile ground for contemporary jewelry. Since 2020, Romanian Jewelry Week has amplified this artistic ecosystem, putting Romania on the international map of contemporary jewelry.
