Intro
Worn-out things, and the part they play our life’s story.
Many of us are attracted to certain things and feel driven to possess or even to collect them. Collecting raw materials is something that I see as being highly personal, as one’s own preferences always play a part in the process in one form or another. In our workshop, we will be analysing the “magpie instinct” in ourselves and the material qualities of the collected object as a part of our life’s story, and delving into it with abandon.

The Eurasian magpie is one of the most intelligent birds, and it is believed to be one of the most intelligent of all non-human animals. The expansion of its nidopallium is approximately the same in its relative size as the brain of chimpanzees, orangutans and humans.
