I study and work in Beijing now, I graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Art. Before I went to college, I spent a lot of time on drawing. I used to paint pictures on small-size paper. After I studied Jewelry Design & Art in CAFA, I began to attracted by delicate and subtle solid-things, and start to create them. In 2018, I won the CAFA Outstanding Graduate Work prize (MA) in Beijing. My work has showcased in London, Shanghai, Munich, etc. In 2015, I was awarded Marzee International Graduate prize. During the past years, my work and articles were featured in various magazines and book worldwide.
Statement
Imaginary Props, 2018.I hope to use the phenomenon of props entering the play in fictional works such as movies or dramas to transform the fictional process itself into the interpretation of the works.
The work transforms the imaginary process into an assembled or movable structure. Therefore, it attempts to make the fictional imagination a medium of communication. For example, The work Fan-1 converts my feelings about the alternation of seasons into a movable structure. Whether leaves fall or flowers bloom, they are accompanied by the ritual sense of order. The work gives feedback through the sound generated by shaking hands, which encourages viewers to create imaginary images of the work.
Loss, 2015.
From the relationship between human and animal, the pieces make use of animal remains to discuss two layers of ‘lose’ meaning-physical relics and mental alienation.
