Bio
Sarah uses traditional jewellery making techniques to create modern jewellery in silver and gold combining repeated and articulated/kinetic elements to create subtle undulating surfaces and patterns. Sarah set up her workshop in London in 1995 where she worked for 10 years before moving to rural Oxfordshire.Statement
Sarah is fascinated by kinetic movement in both jewellery and sculpture. She enjoys the added dimension that movement gives to a piece and uses small repeated elements, usually cubes, to create subtly undulating surfaces on her pieces. Fascinated by repetition in nature she seeks to re-create something of the same meditative quality that you might experience looking at a field of grasses or the boughs of a tree. She sometimes uses differently coloured metals and gemstones to create patterns on the gently shifting surfaces.-
