This video was produced for the Lingam exhibition in the Museum Catharijne Convent in Utrecht. Artist and curator Ruudt Peters asked 122 colleagues to make an interpretation of the Hindu Buddhist Lingam, the male vertility symbol. The christian museum is displayed this collection in order to break open the discussion amongst the Chritisans. Why there is hardly a connection with the body, the sensuals and the sexual (exept for reproduction reasosn) within Christianity? The Hindu's and the Buddhists are freeer, easier and see sexuality as an integrated part of their religions. "Christians can easily learn something" says Ruudt Peters.
