AGC Contemporary Jewellery Association works with the Alternatives Gallery to present 9  international jewellery designers' work in the field of personal adornment in Rome.

Exhibition Description

Alternatives Gallery, in collaboration with the AGC Contemporary Jewellery Association, is pleased to present the works of 9 international jewellery designers, the fruit of the latest artistic research in the field of personal adornment. The exhibition runs from 12/10/2021 to 16/10/2021 at Alternatives gallery in Rome and forms an integral part of the project RJW - Rome Jewellery Week, an event aimed at the enhancement and promotion of contemporary art jewellery.


About RJW 2021
 
The Roma Jewelry Week closed on October 17 with great success, with great satisfaction from goldsmiths and the public. It was the first jewelry week to be made in Italy after the lockdown. The event is directed, curated and conceived by Monica Cecchini, created and promoted by the Incinque Open Art Monti Gallery, with the co-curatorship of the master goldsmith Emanuele Leonardi and the jewelry historian Bianca Cappello. In a week the public of experts in the sector and enthusiasts was able to enjoy the activities of the rich schedule and appreciate over 130 creations on display in numerous ateliers, cultural sites and galleries in the area, participate in live demonstrations and workshops.

About AGC

AGC, Associazione Gioiello Contemporaneo, is a non-profit organization that was created to develop and promote the art of contemporary jewellery meant as Artistic research; Renewal of the concept of ornament; Experimenting with new materials and technologies; Protection, study and updating of historical heritage made up of know-how and abilities.
AGC was founded in Trieste in June 2004 by a group of professionals to create new opportunities for the development and qualification of contemporary jewellery, aiming to promote a constructive and synergistic dialogue with the artistic and productive scenes on an international level.
AGC encourages and supports all initiatives aimed at the exchange of information, experimentation, training, establishing of connections among the members, both online through the community and in practice through workgroups that freely get together to carry out projects, produce documents and develop specific themes.
AGC acts according to ethics that respect the individual and the environment, following a conceptual methodology dedicated to the improvement of the quality through the collation and study of results.
