From the canals of Puyuan, across the Yellow Sea to the Korean Peninsula, there has always been a current. This current is both wave and way—threads, metal, earth and water, and the maker’s hand entwined into the traces of time.

Silk of the past was not mere material; it was a medium that carried thought, technique, aesthetics, and belief. Thus, the ripples of the Silk Road are not a severed history but an invisible net still vibrating within our cultural sensibility today.
This Korean Pavilion seeks to reweave this “heritage of flow” in the language of the present. “Net” (網), “Pulse” (脈), and “Time” (時) respectively signify connection, rhythm, and duration; together, they name the fundamental method by which craft apprehends and gives form to the world. Along this way, artists cross different times and materials, technologies and sensibilities, weaving a “net of time” and, within it, opening a “path of flow.”
The pavilion is structured along these three concepts—Net, Pulse, and Time. Each section is not a rigid thematic partition but a field that intersects and resonates with the others. Participating artists are grouped and installed according to the perspectives of Net · Pulse · Time, and the visitor’s route is conceived as a continuous flow that traverses these three fields. Ultimately, the exhibition gathers into a vast “net of time,” where the three dimensions of connection, rhythm, and duration are braided together.
1. Net — The Network of Relations
“Net” stands for connection. Like the weaving of fibers, it is the invisible thread that binds people to people, regions to cultures. Contemporary craft is expanding into an art of relations, linking tradition and technology, handwork and the digital, locality and universality. The artists in this section weave disparate media and materials, as well as the languages of their times, to visualize new forms of connection and exchange.
2. Pulse — The Figure of Rhythm
“Pulse” names rhythm, the vibration of life. The tension of a metal surface under load, the moment a fiber’s grain trembles as if breathing, the flows formed by gathered folds—these reveal the pulsation of craft. Works in this section present forms that hold rhythm through movement and flow.
3. Time — Layered Time
“Time” signifies the temporal dimension most deeply harbored by craft. Oxidation traces seeping into a metal surface; the memory of the hand residing in layers of work performed by firing, folding, and hammering; the processes of waiting and change condensed within form—together these compose the image of time. The artists here move beyond linear flow to explore “layered time,” in which memory and matter, past and present, coexist.

About Puyuan Fashion Resort
Puyuan Fashion Resort is the “twin ancient town” to Wuzhen, created by the same visionary planning and design team. While Wuzhen celebrates culture, Puyuan embraces fashion. The two sit side by side, complementing each other in theme, sharing resources yet thriving independently.
As China’s largest wool sweater market and knitwear hub, Puyuan Fashion Resort redefines fashion beyond clothing, curating a lifestyle of quality and aesthetics. It is designed as a dynamic ecosystem where design, showcase, trade, retail, and experience come together—making it not only a fashion industry cluster but also a high-end travel destination.
Drawing from the waterways and landscapes of Jiangnan, the town blends Tang and Song architectural influences with an imposing grandeur that sets it apart from traditional ancient towns. True to its identity as “China’s Fashion Ancient Town,” Puyuan is constantly innovating and breaking boundaries.
Since its grand opening in 2023, Puyuan Fashion Resort has become a stage for trend-setting events: the Douyin Creators Conference, GQ Men of the Year Gala, Puyuan Fashion Week, Figaro Music Party, Asia Wedding Style 2024, and the China showcase of New York Fashion Week · New Discoveries. It has also been featured in hit shows such as Everybody Stand By, Go Fighting!, Cats in the Box, and The Legend of Shen Li.
With every collaboration and cultural crossover, Puyuan Fashion Resort is accelerating its growth, proving itself as a bold fusion of tradition and fashion—and a new landmark on the global style map.
