In 2026 Die Neue Sammlung - The Design Museum is teaming up with over 40 jewelry classes from all over the world, covering 24 different countries, to celebrate the future of young contemporary jewelry.
In 2026, Die Neue Sammlung - The Design Museum under the roof of Munich’s Pinakothek der Moderne, celebrates its 100th anniversary.
In 2026, Die Neue Sammlung - The Design Museum can proudly look back on 20 successful years of jewelry exhibitions, a series that kicked off back in 2006 with the Herman Jünger. Fundstücke exhibition.
In 2026, the jewelry collection at Die Neue Sammlung is celebrating its 30th anniversary. In 1996, the first piece of jewelry was acquired and responsibility for the Danner Foundation's contemporary jewelry collection was handed over to Die Neue Sammlung on permanent loan.
In 2026 Die Neue Sammlung - The Design Museum is teaming up with over 40 jewelry classes from all over the world, covering 24 different countries, to celebrate the future of young contemporary jewelry.
The classes have taken it upon themselves to mastermind and present a pop-up exhibition exclusively for the Friday evening of the Jewelry Weekend. The pop-up exhibition will only be on show at the Pinakothek der Moderne and on the evening of the event.

Visitors will receive a booklet into which each class enters a stamp or sticker after their visit, so that it is possible to see which classes have already been visited.
The 1st Summit of Jewelry Classes is generously supported by Münchner Freiheit in the form of sweet finger food and by Showtec with its technical equipment.
From 10 p.m. onwards the band SASEBO will give a live concert with musicians well-known from the jewelry scene: David Bielander, Yutaka Minegishi, and as a special guest Mari Ishikawa.
Graphic designers Carlota Barberan Madruga and Anna Schreiber developed the logo and the print medium for the “1st Summit of Jewelry Classes.”
