Lisa Walker lives and works in Wellington, New Zealand. Curator Tim Walker wrote of her work in 2010 on the occasion of the Magpie exhibition: Lisas works are often challenging. They are characterised by her extraordinary ability to see beauty in what at first view is at the very least audacious or at times head scatchingly ‘oh no, she’s gone too far this time’.
