Jeweller, taxidermist and provocateur Julia DeVille, talks us through the dying art of taxidermy as she works on a baby chick that will be part of an artwork called Albumin. Using only animals that have died of natural causes, her work is designed to highlight atrocities against factory farmed animals. Albumin is a small part of Julia's extraordinary exhibition in the National Gallery of Victoria's Melbourne Now exhibition.
