As part of the celebrations to mark the 45th anniversary of the Institut de Bijouterie de Saumur, the school asked Jean-Yves Le Mignot to organise an exhibition of contemporary jewellery.
This exhibition brings together 32 international jewellers, including Sophie Hanagarth, Mari Ishikawa, Einav Benzano, Cathy Chotard, Florence Lehmann and Märta Mattsson. For the occasion, they pay tribute to women who have inspired or influenced their lives, whether artists, politicians, family members or friends.
A number of students from the Institut de Bijouterie de Saumur will also be exhibiting their work.
In July 2024, the school presented an exhibition entitled ‘Bijoux de femmes, de femme à femme’ in the abbey church of the Château de Saumur. To enhance the exhibition, apprentices and students from the Institute were involved in this artistic adventure. These young talents had the opportunity to work on the same theme as the established artists during a 4-day workshop led by two of the school's instructors: Einav Benzano and Rémy Bonneau, creating a dialogue between past and present, between tradition and modernity.
Participating Artists:
Marianne Anselin, Einav Benzano, Brune Boyer, Cathy Chotard, Marion Colasse, Florence Croisier, Susan Cross, Clémentine Despocq, Marine Dominiczak, Joanne Grimonprez, Sophie Hanagarth, Margit Hart, Kalkidan Hoex, Mari Ishikawa, Margit Jäschke, Florence Lehmann, Tamara Marbl Joka, Eve Margus, Märta Mattsson, Maria Mirilia Mira, Astrid Meyer, Nanna Obel, Laurence Oppermann, Suzanne Otwell-Negre, Barbara Paganin, Anna Rikkinen, Annie Sibert, Verena Sieber-Fuchs, Cathy Specht, Hilde Van Der Heyden, Caroline Volcovici, Silvia Walz.
Students from the Institut De Bijouterie De Saumur:
Camille Henaff, Valentine Bodin, Aziliz Lassais, Mélissa Mocaër, Zoé Poupin, Margaux Duport, Micke Wolff, Emma Auvinet, Marin Duhaut, Emmeline Mas, Jade Laporte, Clémentine Vinsonneau, Théodore Larray, Alice Oden, Louise Le Lan, Paola Fonteneau, Mathilde Mazeau, Marius Lutringer, Sacha Collin, Noémie Rivoal, Ines Delalande, Magali Gaudicheau, Lindsay Collado, Noémie Malassigne.
