Intro
Collecting different materials that we consider valuable for Jewellery will be the focus of this workshop. In the exclusion process we decide which Material can withstand our aesthetic criteria? We examine what has found us, appeared as a value, no matter if an interesting surface, colour, texture or structure, metallic, glass, coloured, artificial, organic or the like.
What the participants bring with them has a value. Why is material beautiful, what makes the charm of precious metal, what moves us to include elements of art in our reflections? We personally put together a material library according to our aesthetic criteria. The resulting (material) series are Ornaments and become necklaces! As we connect the selected forms/materials, we decide spontaneously, subordinated to the respective idea. Whether chained, glued, riveted, screwed, soldered, or with classic connections, the material tells us how it wants to be connected. Incidentally, we learn to pre-pare organic from nature for moulding, which is used as a stock of models later in metal materialized, as jewellery may continue to live. (We cannot cast these manipulated objects in Braunwald, but I give information where to cast it.)
