Bio
Laura Forte was born in Copertino in 1982 and developed a passion for goldsmithing from a very young age, embarking on a path of studies that allowed her to become a goldsmith/designer. In 2005, she opened her studio in her hometown, gradually immersing herself in the world of contemporary art, which became the primary source of her creativity and inspiration. Over the years, she directed her design skills into the digital reality, working with new materials and new 3D technologies.Statement
There isn't always logic in things. Imagination is an intimate inspiration capable of turning into art; creating is an act of metamorphosis, an alchemical process that makes that fantastic thought tangible. Objects take shape and are molded exactly as we had imagined them.In this creative flow, the essence of an insight merges with matter and comes to life. Art becomes a manifestation of our soul, a work that expresses emotions and visions, bringing to light what would otherwise remain hidden. I always seek to discover something more about myself; my works are the way I converse with myself, an extension of me and my imagination.
