La joyería contemporánea tiene su máxima expresión en Joya, feria que la celebra desde hace años en Barcelona.
Contemporary jewellery finds its maximum expression in Joya, a show which has taken place in Barcelona for years. This 7th edition has become a catalyst of the latest jewellery global trends and an image of the whole world in jewellery format at the Centre D’Art Santa Mònica. Over 30 countries represented by more than 400 artists, jewellers and creatives. We sat down with 5 artists and Gigi Mariani, the guest of honour. Marie Eve Castonguay, who works with pigment and paper, Sébastien Carré, who combines textile with organic materials, Jeemin Jamie Chung, who is inspired by the movement of nature, Karina Glynka, who uses metal, cement and stone pieces, and Niki Stylianou, who merges daily materials with precious materials, such as silver and precious stones, in one piece. We talked about the jewellers’ role and we discovered their pieces and vision of this world meeting. Creativity, contexts and expressions from different angles and perspectives: jewellery as the centre of everything.
