Intro
Andy Lim decided quite spontaneously to design as a challenge in 24 hours (Started 13th May at 11:00 – finished 14th May 2008 at 4:30) this monograph. This publication is also expected to become very soon a very scarce book, as it will give the rare opportunity to encounter a very important group of high grade artisticly created rings from a very important Jewellery maker.
Karl Fritsch – The 7 Deadly Sins

Andy Lim of Darling Publications-Cologne & New York did it this time modestly.
Darling Publications, since the 2 monumental Monograph books on Karl Fritsch (2006 and 2007) and the very long but even more monumental Monograph on Lisa Walker (2008), worldwide even more known as the premier address for exclusive publications on jewellery presented at the Museum für Angewandte Kunst, Cologne another Karl Fritsch publication. This time the publication concentrates on a group of 7 rings, The 7 Deadly Sins.

Karl Fritsch – The 7 Deadly Sins contains only 8 images (therefore enormous). An elegant foreword by Dr. Gerhard Dietrich from the Museum of Applied Arts, Cologne, is followed by an essay in depth by the eminent scholar Rafael von Uslar, from Berlin & Wanne-Eickel. On the last page, as loyal fans from Darling Publications know, an unusual portrait of the artist will be unvealed.

This book, although modest in its quantity of pages (only 16), self-confident in its size (24 x 30 cm), and snobbish in the paper´s weight (300 grams!) will convince every VIC*. Printed in Germany with images in ca. 30% more resolution by the newest screening technology Sublima by Agfa, every single page handstitched and linen-bound in 3 serious but lovely colours (Black-Museum Edition, Grey-Library Edition, and Aubergine-Purple Viscose Silk) with Copper Embossings.

Don´t miss the chance to get one of these books. Produced in a very, very small edition of 250 books Library edition and an extra 100 Aubergine-Purple DeLuxe edition. This publication is also expected to become very soon a very scarce book, as it will give the rare opportunity to encounter a very important group of high-grade artistically created rings from a very important Jewellery maker of today's time in this beautiful book for the uncompromising VIC.
