A short chat about our work.
"What inspires you?" "where did you get the idea to do this?" "how did you make it?'
Common questions every artist, jeweller and maker hears everyday. The stories behind the inspiration and the fabrication of the work we produce is fundamental. Jewellery is a carrier of memories and stories but for an audience looking at new work they want to know the information already contained within this new object. Whats is its history and how will that change throughout its life.
This year I interviewed all out graduating students asking them about their ideas and processes so a wider audience could understand the narratives and themes that drive them.
