Bio
Born in 1981 Nicole Schuster grew up in a town near Munich, Germany. Dreaming since she was little to become an architect, Nicole Schuster trained to be a goldsmith at the Technical College of Glass and Jewellery in Kaufbeuren-Neugablonz instead and graduated with a diploma in Jewellery & Objects at Pforzheim University in 2008. After several years working in Ireland she moved to Munich in 2012 and opened her own studio&store for Jewellery, Art and Japanese Tattoos together with Alex del Rio in 2021.Her work is permanently presented by over 20 galleries and exhibitions worldwide and received several awards. Nicole also co-curated an exhibition of contemporary jewellery from Europe and Japan in Tokyo and curated an exhibition for the Bavarian Arts and Crafts Association (BKV) in Munich to show a comparison of objects and jewellery from Japan and Germany.
Statement
In Nicole Schusters work, deliberate formations and nature's inherent flow are utilized to render symbiotic landscapes.Organic elements sprouting from lifeless shapes and constructions are often found in her pieces; this interaction is the core of her creative drive.
