Claudia Steiner, born 1969 in Vienna, she lives and work in Vienna and Carinthia, Austria. She started with an education in jewellery at the goldsmith academy in Vienna in 2003 and continues with Workshops at the Academy for Design in Munich (with Erico Nagai, Helen Britton, Stefano Marchetti) and Summeracademy Salzburg, Austria (with Lucy Sarneel). Since 2005 she has had her own Atelier with showroom in Vienna and is a member of IG fine Arts Austria.Statement
The aesthetic of the changing form: A detail from nature or architecture, the changing when I use different materials and structure, the transformation into another aesthetic meaning. For me, one of the most interesting things as jeweller is, that you can wear your own art-object on your body or clothes, to make a visual statement of your personality wherever you are.CV
