Lecture at Wuhan University of Engineering Sciences, Wuhan China, October 14th 2014
In October 2014, Ezra Satok-Wolman was invited to join the organizing committee of the 2014 Shanghai Jewellery and Metalsmithing Exhibition as Art Director, and present a lecture at Shanghai Design Week. Beyond discussing his own activities as a jewellery artist, the lecture focussed on the origins of art jewellery, the current state of art jewellery, and finding a balance between artistic expression and commercial success. The lecture was presented at the Shanghai Exhibition Center on October 12th, 2014. From Shanghai, Ezra travelled to Wu Han, Central China’s education center, where he was invited to present his lecture a second time at the Wu Han University of Engineering Sciences on October 14th, 2014.
The content of the lecture will be included in Ezra's forthcoming essay: “After Identity Crisis,” which will be published on Klimt02 within the coming months.

Statement
Creating jewellery is a process of discovery for me that involves research and experimentation, in both concept and material.I use geometry as a language to generate visual representations of my ideas and philosophies about the Universe and our place within it.
The constants that are present in my work are Universal and are used to draw parallels between the microcosm and macrocosm.
